PROJECT SERVICES & RESOURCES
As one of the most recognized and well-respected not-for-profit organizations on the planet, World Vision operates offices in over 100 countries across the globe and has 40,000 employees; international operations require that organizational infrastructure and systems are streamlined at all times.
After a staffing firm failed to provide the right resources, World Vision sought out a partner who could offer a high-level of IT support at a competitive price point. George Morris, Global Centre Infrastructure Services Manager for World Vision International, explains:
“We had an enterprise level project involving a Microsoft product, and we needed specific expertise. Knowing we did not have anyone in-house who possessed the capabilities to complete the project, we hired a staffing firm prior to Cal Net. After several weeks, they were still unable to meet the specific requirements. That’s when I called Cal Net.”
As a Microsoft Valued Added Reseller (VAR) Champion and Gold Certified Partner, we’re well-versed and experienced working with Microsoft products. Our engineers assessed World Vision’s situation, which involved the Microsoft ISA 2006 server, and performed a basic implementation including configuration, design document, and operational routine documents.
The project required implementation in seven steps, and within just a few days, our engineers had designed the project to spec.
“In the short term, Cal Net provided us with the exact services and solutions that were required by the project. In the long term, their expertise translated to cost-savings for the organization. Those are key factors when we decide which vendors will best fit our needs. We hope to leverage Cal Net in the future to assure exactly what we need on time, on scope and on budget.”
