Technology Manager

Cal Net Technology Group is a leading network system integrator in Los Angeles specializing in the integration and implementation of Microsoft Networking Technologies. Cal Net is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. Our firm has outpaced the industry with an annual average growth rate of 50%. We cater to most industries with anywhere from 10-3000 PC’s.

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated Technology Manager with a long track record of managing technical I.T. projects and exceeding client expectations. The position entails visiting roughly 1-2 different clients daily within the greater Los Angeles Area.

This position requires excellent communication skills as much of your time will be dealing with the management and staff in our clients I.T. Departments.

Although the position requires up-to-date skill sets with current technology, most of your time will be spent designing and managing implementations and only becoming “hands on” when an issue is escalated to you.

Your day to day duties will include:

· Going on-site to client sites on a daily basis and working with their I.T. Management to discuss I.T. strategy in their organization, current and upcoming I.T. initiatives, helping them evaluate, design, and roll out new solutions.

· Acting as a sales engineer from time to time when our sales staff needs a technical resource.

· Managing large scale projects for your list of managed clients.

You are a master of the following technologies

All Windows desktop and server platforms, including Windows 2000/2003 Server, Windows NT, Windows 2000/2003 Small Business Server, Windows XP Pro, Windows 2000 Pro, Windows NT4.0 Workstation, and Windows ME/98/95.
Microsoft Exchange Server and Exchange Server Migrations
Veritas Backup Exec 8.x and later.
Symantec Anti-Virus Enterprise/Corporate Editions
Experience with Terminal Server environments required.
DSL/T1 and other broadband technologies
Firewalls/Routers/Switches (Cisco, Checkpoint and Sonicwall a plus!)
Desktop and Server Hardware
Microsoft Office and Outlook
Cisco, Citrix, and Mac experience a big plus!
MCSE certification preferred, but not required.

You are:

· Excellent at communicating with end-users/management/I.T. staff members of other companies.

· Looking forward to not working in the same environment day in and day out.

· Willing to do extensive regional traveling on a daily basis (typically within the Los Angeles Area)

· Willing to work occasional nights and weekends for network deployments.

You have:

· The desire to work in a team environment.

· Minimum 2 years experience in managing projects.

· Minimum 4 years experience hands on experience with the above technologies.

· Brilliant Oral and Written Communication Skills

· The desire to work in a challenging environment in which no two days are alike!

Compensation and Benefits

This position is a full time position (W-2). Base pay for this position starts between 75-90K annually, depending on experience. Once this position has reached full utilization, a solid candidate has the earning potential of 100k+ annually.

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated Mid Level/Senior Mid Level Network Engineer who is interested in being consistently challenged. This is the perfect position for an individual who wants to be exposed to new and exciting technologies, and who wants to become a “Trusted Advisor” to their set of clientele.

The position entails visiting roughly 2-3 different clients daily within the greater Los Angeles Area. You will be responsible for consulting with your clients on how to best utilize their technology tools, and how to add proficiencies to their business through the utilization of technology. Some of the more technical aspects of this position will entail designing, implementing, and maintaining local and wide area networks primarily on the Microsoft platform.

This position requires excellent communication skills as much of your time will be dealing with executives and management in our client’s organizations.

This position is a full time position (W-2). Base pay for this position starts between 55-75K annually, depending on experience. Once this position has reached full utilization, a solid candidate has an earning potential of close to 75k annually.
