Cal Net Technology Group Open House

Over the past year, Cal Net Technology has seen a steady increase in business opportunities in the Southern California market, resulting in an overall 22% increase in staffing, and 26% increase in revenue. The new Chatsworth office space is 45% larger than the previous office, reflecting the growth of the organization and establishing Cal Net as a leader in the IT industry.

In celebration of this new growth, Cal Net opened its doors to its current clients and prospects to showcase its new state-of-the-art LA headquarters in Chatsworth. The Open House featured an evening of live music, delicious small bites and wine of course!

Attendees were given a tour of the state-of-the-art facility and an inside look at the Windows 8 platform. Matt Jackson, Business Development Specialist at the Century City Microsoft store, conducted three back-to-back presentations on Windows 8 in Cal Net’s training room during the event.

Matt covered these five highlights around Windows 8:

1-Metro UI – offers a user friendly interface into a powerful platform.

2-Compatibility – anything that runs on Windows 7 is compatible to Windows 8.

3-File system – You can save files from a USB, Internet, whatever you prefer – which is not the case with competing operating systems.

4-Picture password – allows the platform to be more user friendly as well as be more secure without compromise.

5-Flexibility – designed to work with many different types of hardware and you can get input via keyboard, type, touch, whatever the user’s choice for the capability of the hardware.

To conclude the evening, three lucky attendees won Microsoft products, HP printers, Xbox games, and webcams.
